Dear Colleagues:

It is our great pleasure to announce the 9th Asia Pacific Chapter Meeting of the International Society for Peritoneal Dialysis (ISPD-APCM 2019), which will be held at the Nagoya Congress Center in Nagoya, Japan from September 5 to 7, 2019. This meeting is supported by the International Society of Peritoneal Dialysis (ISPD) and also by major Japanese academic societies such as the Japanese Society for Peritoneal Dialysis (JSPD), Japanese Society of Dialysis Therapy (JSDT), Japanese Society of Nephrology (JSN), Japanese Society for Pediatric Nephrology (JSPN) and Japan Academy of Nephrology Nursing (JANN).

Since 2010, our Nagoya group has held regular training session on PD under “Baxter Scientia Japan at Nagoya University,” an official education program authorized by Nagoya University for doctors and other medical staff to popularize and improve PD therapy in Japan. We are delighted and honored to hold such a large international conference on PD and we warmly invite you and accompanying persons to Nagoya to attend this meeting.

The conference theme “Peritoneal Dialysis: Recent Advances and Enhancing Knowledge” will provide many opportunities to learn, communicate and share useful information among all participants including doctors, nurses, medical technicians, students and others. As this meeting places great emphasis on education, we welcome both domestic and foreign participants and presenters, regardless of their experience of peritoneal dialysis medical treatment.

The conference venue, the Nagoya Congress Center, is the largest in Nagoya City. Nagoya is situated in the heart of the main island of Japan with excellent access through Chubu International Airport “Centrair (NGO)” from the Asia-Pacific area. In addition, Nagoya Station can be quickly reached by frequent bullet train (Shinkansen) services from Tokyo and Osaka. Therefore, attendees can choose to fly into Osaka International Airport (KIX), Narita International Airport (NRT) or Tokyo International Airport (HND).

Nagoya is one of the largest cities in Japan. Attractions include Nagoya Castle, Tokugawa Museum, Atsuta Jingu, Nagoya City Science Museum, Railway Park, Lego Land, Noritake Museum, Nagoya Aquarium and Higashiyama Zoo, while nearby attractive places include Ise Jingu, Inuyama Castle and Nagashima Resort, all of which ensure a fascinating experience for accompanying persons during the meeting.

We believe that everyone will enjoy a great experience both during and after the conference. Please come and join us.
