Welcome to the APCM-ISPD 2019

It is our great pleasure to invite you to the 9th Asia Pacific Chapter Meeting of the International Society for Peritoneal Dialysis (APCM-ISPD 2019), taking place in Nagoya, Japan on September 5 to 7, 2019.

The theme for this meeting is “Peritoneal Dialysis: Recent Advances and Enhancing Knowledge”. Peritoneal dialysis (PD) is the initial chronic dialysis treatment modality for the majority of children with end-stage renal disease worldwide. The advantage of PD over hemodialysis include the ability to attend school on a regular basis, no need for a vascular access, fewer dietary restrictions, and better preservation of residual renal function. Further, technological advances and increasing clinical experience have impacted favorably on patient and technique survival in children undergoing chronic PD.

This meeting will offer a comprehensive scientific program that provides the latest research developments as well as insightful educational sessions and skillful training sessions in the field of PD. We believe that this meeting will provide valuable insights into medical drawbacks that must be overcome to further improve the performance of chronic PD in children.

We all look forward to welcoming you to Nagoya for the APCM-ISPD 2019.
