As a leading domestic and international congress organizer, Congress Corporation began
the Congress Institute to provide a training ground for students eager to polish their language
skills and enhance their current careers, or start new careers as translators
and interpreters .
Students and staff put their abilities to use on a regular basis in conferences organized
by Congress Corporation. For example, many Congress Institute instructors and students
were part of the roughly 1,000-person strong interpretation team that made the World
Water Forum in 2003 such a success, followed by The U.N. World Conference on Disaster
Reduction, Expo 2005 in Aichi and Asian Development Bank the 40th Annual Meeting of the
Board of Governors (ADB), among others.
