The Commemorative Ceremony on 10 September 2011 was honored with the presence of His Majesty the Emperor of Japan. His Majesty the Emperor congratulated us on the success of the congress, and gave words of encouragement to distinguished scientists and their activities.
Professor Seigo Hirowatari, President of the Science Council of Japan, giving a welcome speech in the presence of His Majesty the Emperor at the Commemorative Ceremony.

Professor Fusao Tomita, Chair of the IUMS 2011 National Organizing Committee, expressing his appreciation to His Majesty the Emperor.

His Excellency Motohisa Furukawa, Minister of State for Science and Technology Policy, giving a congratulatory address.

Please note that the Commemorative Ceremony will be honored with the presence of Their Majesties the Emperor and Empress of Japan.
For security reasons, please kindly be seated by 17:10, after completing registration procedures.
Congestion is expected at the security check. Please kindly arrive at the venue early.
Participants are requested to attend this ceremony after the scientific program.
