Welcome to the 7th International Symposium on Water Supply Technology.

It is a great pleasure to announce that the 7th International Symposium on Water Supply Technology will be held in Yokohama , Japan in November, 2006.

The previous 6th International Symposium on Water Supply Technology, held in Kobe and Osaka as a sister conference to the “3rd World Water Forum” Japan in March, 2003, was a great success, thanks in a large part to the enthusiastic participation of the attendees. I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to the 2003 participants.

Our symposium is held every 3 years as an international arena in which to advance water supply technology and actively exchange information and ideas.

The 7th International Symposium on Water Supply Technology will be convened from November 22nd to 24th, 2006 in Yokohama , Japan . This symposium will provide an excellent opportunity to review the advances in the field, with the theme of “New Water Supply Technologies and Development of Water Utility Management.” Many prominent water works experts from around the world will be invited to speak at the Symposium. It will also feature: announcement of papers, a key panel discussion, technical sessions and exhibitions by Japanese and international water works corporations.

The Symposium’s Secretariat is headed by the Japan Water Research Center and the Yokohama Waterworks Bureau. It is supported by the International Water Association (IWA) and several organizations related to water supply in Japan .
