| PRIZE
FOR THE BEST PAPER SUBMITTED |

| Patient
Classification Systems International (PCSI) will award
a prize to the author of the best paper submitted and
presented at the PCS International Working Conference.
|
| The
€2,000 prize is sponsored by PCSI. The prize is
intended to reflect excellence in case mix research
or case mix implementation research. Manuscripts can
represent collaborative efforts between authors. Submitted
manuscripts are to be evaluated by a subcommittee of
the PCS International members and the prize is to be
awarded on behalf of the PCS International organization. |
| In
2009, the 25th PCS International
Working Conference is being held in Fukuoka, Japan.
To be eligible for the prize, the author must meet the
following criteria: |
| Submit
an abstract to the PCS International conference
and have the abstract accepted by the Scientific
Committee; |
| Submit
the completed manuscript no later than the 12th
of October, 2009, to ceum@ensp.unl.pt; |
| The
lead author must attend, and present the research
at the PCS International conference in Fukuoka,
Japan. |

| Submitted
manuscripts will be evaluated by 5 members of PCS International.
Evaluation of manuscripts will be based on originality,
contribution to the field of case mix research/case
mix implementation, level of rigor of methods and implications
to the field of research. The prize will be awarded
to the lead author at the 25th
PCS International Working Conference. |
