Instructions for presenters

Accepted abstracts will be arranged as several types of presentations at WCE 2011:

- Moderated Poster
- Basic Research
- Un-Moderated Poster
- Video
- V-Poster

Moderated Poster / Basic Research

  • The Poster board surfaces measure approximately W 90cm X H 180cm (W 35.4in X H 70.9in).
  • Each poster must include the title of the paper, the name(s) of the author(s) and their affiliation(s).
  • Please go to the assigned meeting room before the session begins and put up your poster on the poster board marked with your poster number. A supply of pushpins will be available in the poster area for mounting your poster. Also please remove your poster from the board after the session. Otherwise your poster will be assumed discarded.
  • The poster presentation will be held in a podium-like session. After an overview on posters, each author will have up to 2 minutes to make a brief presentation (with PowerPoint if needed). At the end of the presentation, there will be a short time for Questions & Answers.
  • If you will use PowerPoint slides for your presentation, please name the PowerPoint file as your assigned program number*.

  • All the PowerPoint files should be made on the official template. The template is downloadable here. Powerpoint template download
  • Windows is the only operating system available for the presentation.
  • Power Point files should be submitted to the Speaker Ready Room no later than one hour before session starts.

Un-Moderated Poster

  • The Poster board surfaces measure approximately W 90cm X H 180cm (W 35.4in X H 70.9in).
    A poster number is displayed by the secretariat.
  • A supply of pushpins will be available in the poster area for mounting your poster.
  • Each poster must include the title of the paper, the name(s) of the author(s) and their affiliation(s).
  • Authors are required to mount and remove their materials according to the above schedule.
  • We remind you that you should NOT leave poster tubes or cases in the poster areas. The organizers will not be held responsible for any losses which may be incurred.
  • Posters not removed by the removing time mentioned above will be removed and discarded by the secretariat.

Video

  • The video presentation should be limited to seven minutes followed by short Q and A.
  • Videos identical to the initial versions submitted should be labeled with your Assigned Program number and recorded on the DVD discs. DVDs should be submitted to the Speaker Ready Room no later than one hour before the session starts.

V-Poster

  • Using of one screen, we present one power-point slide, this allows inserting video clips and animated graphics.
    The poster will be presented on the TV panel (50-inch).
    The V- poster should be made with Microsoft PowerPoint (version 2003 or later). Please name the file as your assigned program number*.

    Windows is the only operating system available for the presentation. The aspect ratio is 16:9.
    The Power Point slide should be in English and the authors’ name, institution and correspondence should be noted in the slide.
  • The poster presentation will be held in a podium-like session.
    After an overview on posters, each author will have up to 2 minutes to make a brief presentation.
    At the end of the presentation, there will be a short time for Questions & Answers.
  • If you will use PowerPoint slides for your 2-minutes presentation, please prepare a separate Power Point file and name it as your assigned program number*.
