| On behalf of the Organizing Committee, I would like to invite you to the 14th Annual Asian Breast Diseases Association (ABDA) Meeting and Symposium. ABDA meetings have been held annually since 2003, each year in a different Asian city. We are honored that ABDA 2016 will take place in Japan for the first time and it is in a fantastic location, Fukuoka. |

| ABDA is a registered charitable company in Hong Kong. Its main objective is to improve and upgrade standards of breast cancer care in the Asian region. It is a multi-disciplinary organization that provides a forum for the meeting of minds and interaction of medical and paramedical specialists and trainees from different disciplines involved in breast cancer care. |

| Each host country showcases what is being done and achieved in the respective country, and this year is no exception. The program this year includes topics in the radiological, pathological, surgical and oncological aspects of breast cancer. |

| この度 The 14th Asian Breast Diseases Association (ABDA) Meeting and Symposium の当番世話人を拝命いたしました、久留米大学医療センター 山口 倫でございます。 |

| Asian Breast Diseases Association (ABDA)は、アジア圏における乳腺疾患の診断・治療をよりよく進歩させていくこと、また、その標準化を目指し 2003年に前会長である Dr. Yi-Hong Chou (台湾 National Yang Ming University school of Medicine 放射線科教授) を中心にアジア各国を代表する放射線科医、乳腺外科医、腫瘍内科医、病理医によって発足いたしました。以降、毎年アジア各国で乳腺疾患に関するティーチングコース、シンポジウム、ワークショップを開催して参りました。 |

| 日本での初めての開催となる今回は 2016年9月2日(金)〜3日(土)、福岡スカラエスパジオを会場とし、国内およびアジアから専門家を招きシンポジウム形式を中心に計画しております。 |
|
福岡は、日本国内のみならず、アジアからの航空便のアクセスも良く、中でも会場としたスカラエスパジオは福岡天神の中心に位置し、最高の立地です。9月初旬は夏の気配を残し、残暑厳しい時期ではございますが、是非、この機会に、アジアの乳腺疾患の診断・治療の現状や最先端の研究成果に触れ、そして福岡の街を楽しんでいただければと存じます。
