【IMPORTANT】Announcement : JASTRO 2021 to be Held Online

We would like to express our sincere gratitude for your continued support for the 34th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Radiation Oncology.

As previously announced, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we had been carefully considering the format in which to hold the conference. After much deliberation, we have concluded to hold the conference completely online and forego holding it at the Sendai International Center.

Vaccinations for the COVID-19-virus have begun, but due to delays in supply and the emergence of multiple variants of the virus, many epidemiological and infectious disease specialists are predicting a wave of infections this fall.

Although we have received many requests to hold the conference locally, the safety of our participants is our highest priority. Considering this, as well as the difficulty in changing the program on short notice and the associated costs of holding a hybrid event, we have reached the above decision and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

We are gathering knowledge and expertise in holding online events, and will do our utmost to make JASTRO 2021 meaningful for all participants. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
