The 31st Japanese-Korean Combined Orthopaedic Symposium was concluded with great success and would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for your cooperation. Announcement of 31st JKCOS on the Web The JKCOS(30th) was originally scheduled for April 10 to 11 in 2020 at Nagasaki. It had been postponed to September 4 to 5 in 2020 and canceled for the COVID-19 outbreak. Although the next 31st Combined Orthopaedic Symposium was scheduled to be held in Seoul in 2021, we had scheduled the 31st JKCOS at Nagasaki at the request of the Korean side. The 31st JKCOS was originally planned to be held June 25 to 26 in 2021 and postponed to September 2 to 3 in 2022. This symposium is not just an academic meeting, but a meeting that has developed with face-to-face communication of Japanese and Korean orthopedic surgeons. We think that it would be better to avoid holding the event on the Web, for it might be difficult for doctors who are not accustomed to using the Web to participate. For that reason, we have stuck to holding on-site events in Nagasaki so far. On the other hand, this symposium is a very valuable opportunity for young orthopedic surgeons in Japan and South Korea to make presentations at international symposiums. Three years have already passed since the last KJCOS held in 2019. There are still no prospect of the infection ends, and the restrictions on travel from South Korea to Japan have not been lifted. Now, we think that we should not stick to holding on-site events and should not postpone the symposium for another year or more. We regret to announce that we have decided to abandon the 31st Japan-Korea Joint Orthopedic Surgery Symposium in Nagasaki and will hold it on the Web. We believe this is the best decision under the COVID-19 pandemic at this point. The session on the Web will be from September 1 to 30, 2022. We will start accepting submissions of abstracts from May 2022. We apologize for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your understanding and support. President of the 31th Japanese-Korean Combined Orthopaedic Symposium Makoto Osaki M.D., Ph.D. 第31回日韓合同整形外科シンポジウムWeb開催のお知らせ 　日韓合同整形外科シンポジウム（JKCOS）は、第30回を2020年4月10日-11日に長崎にて開催を予定しておりましたが、新型コロナウイルス感染症拡大の影響で、9月4日−5日に延期し、その後、開催中止となりました。  　第31回は2021年にソウルでの開催予定でしたが、韓国側からの要望もあり、改めて2021年6月25日-26日に長崎で開催すべく準備を行ってまいりました。しかし、新型コロナウイルス感染拡大は収束することはなく、2022年9月2日-3日に日程を延期しております。  　本シンポジウムは単に学術的な集会ではなく、日韓の整形外科医によるFace to Face のコミュニケーションを基盤に発展した会です。また、Web操作に慣れていない先生方には参加が難しいことから、Webでの開催はできれば避けたいということで、これまで長崎での現地開催にこだわって参りました。 　一方、日韓の若手の整形外科医にとりましては、非常に貴重な国際シンポジウムでの発表の機会です。前回、2019年のKJCOS開催から間もなく3年が経過します。いまだに感染収束の見込みが立たず、韓国から日本への渡航制限も解除されておりません。このため、現地開催にこだわり、さらに1年、状況次第ではそれ以上、本シンポジウムの開催を延期することは避けるべきであると考えます。  　大変残念ではありますが、第31回日韓合同整形外科シンポジウムの長崎での現地開催は断念させていただき、Webでの開催とさせていただきます。コロナ渦の現時点におきましては最善の策とご理解いただければ幸甚です。 　会期は2022年9月1日から30日とし、2022年5月より演題の募集を開始させていただきます。皆様には大変なご不便をおかけいたしますが、ご理解とご支援を賜りますようお願い申し上げます。 第31回日韓合同整形外科シンポジウム 会長　尾﨑　誠
