Abstract Submission Guidelines
Abstracts can only be submitted online through this congress website.
Submitted abstracts should be prepared by following instruction below.
- Abstracts must be written in either English or Japanese.
- The title of abstract must be limited to 30 words.
- Charts or graphics can be included in the abstract.
- The body of abstract without images should not exceed 400 words in length.
- With images, the body of abstract should be limited to 270 words in length.
- Please prepare a summary of abstract for program book within 15 words, and be sure not to repeat the abstract title.
- After submitting the abstract, you will receive an e-mail confirming the receipt of your abstract within three days (exclusive of weekends and public holidays).

Abstract Submission Categories
Submitters of abstract are able to choose in which category they would like to submit their abstracts. Abstract Submission Categories are as below.
Ⅰ. Symposium (Japanese or English)
- Basic and clinical research on non-specific low back pain
- Innovations in the last 10 years in spine surgery
- Sagittal malalignment of the spine and its correction
Ⅱ. Main topics (Japanese or English)
- Basic and clinical research on intervertebral discs
- Natural history and prognosis of spinal disorders
- Clinical research based on patient-reported outcome including JOABPEQ and JOACMEQ
- Long term outcome on spine surgery (more than 20 years)
- Minimally invasive spinal surgery
- Treatment for delayed union secondary to osteoporotic vertebral fracture
- Risks and benefits of vertebroplasty
- Pathophysiology and treatment for cervical spondylotic amyotrophy
- Paradigm shift on the treatment for metastatic spine tumor
- Basic and clinical research on impairment of sacroiliac joint
- Adjacent segment degeneration
- Prevention and treatment for surgical site infection (SSI)

Abstract Submission Form
When submitting your abstract, please follow the guidelines given on the abstract submission form.
Notification of Acceptance / Rejection
The president will respect the authors' preference but reserves the right to assign the category and make the final decision of acceptance/rejection.
Authors will be notified by e-mail in January whether his/her abstract has been accepted for presentation.
