JOS International Membership, By-Laws and Membership Information

Purpose

The purpose of JOS International Membership is to increase communication with ophthalmologists, researchers, and co-medicals from all over the world, especially from other Asian countries, by offering the chance to present their work and to promote personal exchange, joint efforts between industry and academia, and educational and personal interactions, ultimately developing and advancing ophthalmological research in other Asian countries as well as in Japan.

Requirements

1. Non-Japanese overseas ophthalmologists who would like to attend either of the annual conferences held by JOS.
2. The endorsement of either president and the approval of the board meeting.

Applications

Applications for international membership can be submitted on the annual conference website during the abstracts submission period.
A 3000 yen fee is required upon approval for international membership, as well as the conference admission fee.

Membership Details

1. Valid for 1 year for 2 annual conferences, not automatically renewable.
2. Same benefits as JOS members when presenting at the annual conferences and discounted admission fees.
3. Access to the electronic version of the JOS journal.
