JOS International Membership, By-Laws and Membership Information

Purpose

The purpose of JOS International Membership is to increase communication with ophthalmologists, researchers, and medical professionals in this field from all over the world, especially from other Asian countries, by offering the chance to present their work and to promote personal exchange, joint efforts between industry and academia, and educational and personal interactions, ultimately developing and advancing ophthalmological research in other Asian countries as well as in Japan.

Requirements
  • Non-Japanese overseas ophthalmologists who would like to attend either of the annual conferences organized by JOS.
  • The endorsement of either conference's president and the approval of the Board of Trustees.
Applications for Non-member presenter

International membership applications for Non-member presenters will be sent to the concerned presenters automatically after acceptance of their abstracts.
A 3,000 yen fee is required upon approval for international membership, as well as the conference admission fee.
We will inform Non-member presenters about the payment method for the international membership fee after acceptance of their abstracts.

Membership Details
  • Valid for 1 year for 2 annual conferences, not automatically renewable.
  • Same benefits as JOS members when presenting at the annual conferences and discounted admission fees.
  • Access to the electronic version of the JOS journal.
