Welcome

Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the organizing committee, we are delighted to invite you to the International Training Course on Carbon Ion Radiotherapy (ITCCIR 2022) to be held online (on demand) from Nov 21st to Dec 4th, 2022 in Japan.

The ITCCIR has been held once a year and this will be the 10th course. This year, the COVID19 infections in Japan have been on the decline for a while, but have recently increased rapidly and it is hard to predict if they will improve sufficiently toward the end of the year, so we decided to hold the course online, giving top priority to the health and safety of everybody.

In recent years, charged particle therapy has been rapidly spreading worldwide, where the personnel with advanced knowledge and techniques are needed for its safe implementation. This training course aims to provide basic and practical knowledge on biology, physics, clinical aspects and many others of this therapy as well as the latest information regarding treatment facilities around the world. The lectures will be mainly on CIRT, but the irradiation techniques and treatment strategies are not much different from those of proton therapy, so anyone interested in charged particle therapy is welcome to attend. We believe you will be satisfied with this course!

We are looking forward to having your registration.

Thank you.
