Theme: Pioneering New Horizons in Cardiac Rehabilitation through Science and Passion
- Empowering People to Step Forward with Smiles toward Tomorrow, Across Japan - |
I am pleased to announce that the 33rd Annual Meeting of the Japanese Association of Cardiac Rehabilitation (JACR) will be held for two days on July 17 (Saturday) and 18 (Sunday), 2027 at Fukuoka International Congress Center, Fukuoka Sunpalace and Marine Messe Fukuoka Hall B in Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture.
Known as the hub city of Kyushu and the gateway to the fast-growing Asian region, Fukuoka City boasts the convenience of easy access from all parts of Japan by air, Shinkansen and expressway, as well as a beautiful natural environment and unique historical and cultural heritage. It is our great pleasure to welcome you to Fukuoka, a city with many attractions that captivate visitors.
Cardiac rehabilitation is not just about treating diseases: it is a safe and reliable medical practice that provides attentive care to individual patients to help them return to their everyday lives by supporting them through recovery from the acute phase, preventing recurrence, and extending healthy lifespan. As such, cardiac rehabilitation embodies the essence of patient-centered medical care that remains unchanged even in this AI-dominated era.
In Japan, however, cardiac rehabilitation has not been offered to all patients in need, even though its effectiveness is widely recognized: there are many issues to be addressed, including the regional divide and lack of rehabilitation facilities, as well the arrival of a super-aged society and the increasing number of patients with multimorbidity and with heart failure. Against this backdrop, we, as professionals in cardiovascular care, carry a huge responsibility for making cardiac rehabilitation more widely available and improving its quality.
At the 33rd JACR Annual Meeting, we will share the latest scientific knowledge in the field of cardiac rehabilitation, and present advanced initiatives undertaken in various parts of Japan and results achieved through regional cooperation. We also hope to deepen discussions on how we can inspire various healthcare professionals to work together, each driven by dedication,[A4.1] to provide higher-quality cardiac rehabilitation across Japan.
In addition, the forthcoming meeting will offer opportunities for healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, pharmacists, national registered dietitians, and certified public psychologists, to explore a future vision of “team medical care” together.
By doing so, we hope to pave a path to the future through a scientific approach and to make our future vision a reality through passion, so that we can join efforts to pioneer new horizons throughout the nation and region, and empower all patients to step forward with smiles toward tomorrow.
