The 40th Annual Meeting of the Japan Society for Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation
(Hokkaido University, SAPPORO, JAPAN)

Dear Colleagues,

It is our great honor and pleasure of inviting you to the 40th annual meeting of the Japanese Society for Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation (JSHCT) to be held on February 1-3, 2018 in Sapporo, Japan. JSHCT was initiated in 1978 as a private meeting of the pioneers of bone marrow transplantation. The group expanded and developed to JSHCT in 2006. Meanwhile, hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (SCT) has been remarkably advanced by multidisciplinary approaches involving investigators, clinicians, laboratory technicians, clinical research professionals, nurses, pharmacists, administrators and allied health professionals, and so on.

In the memorial 40th annual meeting, we hope to show young colleagues a dream of the future SCT, by taking a birds-eye view and broaden their perspectives on hematology and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.

We believe that such broad, free and profound perspectives will lead them for better understandings, to be innovative, and encourage them to come up with novel approaches.
With this, we hope to keep passing the SCT baton to the next generation.

Sapporo is the city in Hokkaido Island, located in the northern part of Japan. The city is known widely for its beautiful snow, vast nature, great dining options and also known for the host of the Olympic Winter Games in 1972.

Please explore and enjoy the nature and a treasure trove of Hokkaido gourmet.

We are looking forward to welcoming you to Sapporo, with beautiful snow, in February 2018.
