English Presentation Award

Since 2012, the International Committee of Japanese Society for Spine Surgery and Related Research (JSSR) has included an “English Presentation Session” in its meetings. This year’s calls for abstracts for the “English Presentation Session” will recognize the best English presentations given by researchers. Please note the following information when applying for the English Presentation Award.

• English Presentation Award candidates must be the primary author of the abstract being submitted to the JSSR2022 “English Presentation Session”.
• Award recipients will be selected based upon the quality of their abstract, quality of their presentation, and their ability to discuss the material.
• Award recipients will be announced during JSSR2022, and will be awarded JPY50,000 for the Gold Award and JPY20,000 for the Silver Award.

Abstract Submission Guidelines

All abstracts shall be submitted through the online abstract submission system. Submitted abstracts shall be prepared according to the following instructions.

• Abstracts shall be written in English.
• Please select "Yes" to the "Application for English Presentation Award" question.
• The abstract title shall be limited to 140 characters.
• Charts or graphics may be included within the abstract.
  - Without charts or graphics, the text of the abstract shall be limited to 1,600 characters.
  - With charts or graphics, the text of the abstract shall be limited to 1,000 characters.
• Please prepare a summary of the abstract for the program book. (Up to 15 words, not including the abstract title).

Disclosure of Conflict of Interest（COI）

To ensure transparency of the clinical research partnerships between industry and academia, and in JSSR2022 presentations, all presenters are expected to disclose any “conflict of interest” (COI) at JSSR2022. All COI matters to have occurred within three years of the abstract submission and up to the time of the presentation must be disclosed.

Notification of Acceptance/Rejection

The President of JSSR2022 will consider the authors’ abstract category preferences, but reserves the right to assign abstract categories and to make final abstract acceptance/rejection decisions.
