Vice-President
Hiroyoshi Komai
We sometimes (always, might be) discuss, “Open? Endo? Which is better?”. However, our mission is to explore the best procedure for each patient. This annual meeting will be held to discuss the way to achieve the best at the frontline.
The topics of the JSVS meeting include the aorta from the aortic root, the peripheral artery, the vein, and the lymphatic vessels. Both “open” surgery and endovascular intervention are discussed along with medical therapy.
This meeting also aims to promote internationalization. Though many Japanese vascular surgeons joined the congress in the United States, European countries, and Asian countries, we welcome only a few international guests to the Japanese congress because the presentation in Japanese is hard to understand. To elucidate this issue, the AI translator (POCKETALK) will be utilized in more than half of all oral presentations for translation from Japanese to English and English to English captions.
The program committee nominated more than 60 titles for symposium, panel discussion, and workshop in “Abstract Submission”. If you are interested in these titles, you can submit your abstract for the longer oral presentation in a large room with the AI translator. Of course, all papers about other issues are also welcome for the standard oral or poster presentation.
The abstract from abroad should be submitted via email. (details will be announced in “Abstract Submission”). The language for the slide or poster presentation can be English.
Osaka is famous as “KUIDAORE”, which means “feast till you fall”, and is surrounded by beautiful cities, Kyoto, Nara, and Kobe, within a one-hour trip. May is one of the best seasons to visit, immediately before the rainy season.
We wish to welcome many international audiences to Osaka, Japan, in May 2026!
