The 10th Biennial Conference of Asian Thoracic Surgical Club

Invitation

My Dear Colleagues:

On behalf of the organizing committee, it is my great pleasure to announce that the 10th Biennial Conference of the Asian Thoracic Surgical Club (ATSC) will be held from September 27 to 29, 2019 at Kazusa Akademia Hall, Chiba, Japan.

The meeting venue, Kazusa Akademia Hall, is a part of Kazusa Akademia Park which includes research institutes, a convention center, hotel and sports center, and is located in Chiba Prefecture, just adjacent to Tokyo. It is a very enjoyable drive from Haneda Airport, just across Tokyo Bay via a long underwater tunnel and a long bridge called “Umihotaru.” The calm and tranquil atmosphere of Kazusa Akademia Park is providing us with the best conditions and environment for these meetings.

The ATSC has a long history. The golf tournament in Jeju Island is still a vivid and funny memory of mine. In my understanding, the ATSC was established with the purpose not only to promote scientific discussion among the Asian thoracic surgeons, but also to cherish the friendship and understandings among surgeons in Asia. Indeed, my intimate friendships with surgeons in Asia were all formed through the activities of ATSC. I ask, as a president, all the attendees to make friends, and to know each other for the future of our Asian thoracic surgical community.

Therefore, on behalf of the organizing committee, I would like to extend our warmest invitation to all the experts and trainees in this field. I sincerely believe that the biennial ATSC meeting would be a precious opportunity for us to learn more and to know each other more. Please grant us the honor and join us in the best season in Japan.

Sincerely yours,

president: Hisao Asamura, M.D. PHOTO
