Abstract Submission Guidelines

Session Titles

• Please check the “Program” of the congress website.

Abstract Guideline

• Title should be within 100 characters.
• Contents should be within 2,000 characters. If an abstract include a figure, the contents should be 1,340 characters. Both in color and black-and-white figures are acceptable.

Important Notice

• Aiming for the internationalization of the Japanese Society of Gastroenterological Surgery, in parts of main programs (Symposium, Debates, Panel Discussions, and Workshops) are conducted in English.

Addition of co-authors and institutions

• Up to 9 co-authors are available to be registered.
• Up to 5 institutions are available to be registered.

Conditions of Conflict of Interest

The fist-author is required to report COI (Conflict of Interest) if an submitted abstract is:

1. Based on a clinical research. (Research for cultivated cell and basic research using laboratory animals are not included.)
2. Received remunerations from the private companies or for-profit associations for the abstract contents within one year from the abstract submission.

Instructions on how to submit the Conflict of Interest

1. Please declare the relevant COI in Abstract Submission Form.
2. Please declare on the slides and posters prepared for the presentation.
   The presenters are requested to use designated slides which will be announced after your abstracts are accepted.

Notification of submitted abstracts

• Please leave results and presentation styles to the congress president and secretariat.
• Results of the main programs are decided after the consultation with chairpersons and the congress chair.
• Results of the general sessions are decided after the consultation in addition to peer review processes by designated peer reviewers.
• Notifications will be sent to the registered E-mail addresses around March, 2016.
