Daisuke Inoue, M.D., PhD
Congress President of the 44th Annual Meeting of
Japanese Society for Bone and Mineral Research
(Professor and Chairperson, Third Department of Medicine, Teikyo University Chiba Medical Center)
It is our great pleasure to announce that the 44th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society for Bone and Mineral Research (JSBMR) will be held from July 2 (Thursday) to 4 (Saturday), 2026 at Hotel Okura Tokyo Bay, in Chiba, Japan.
The JSBMR has long played a leading role in advancing bone and mineral metabolism research in Japan. We are truly honored to host this annual meeting in Chiba Prefecture for the very first time.
The theme of the meeting is:
" Bone and Mineral Metabolism in the Diverse World."
In today’s world, diversity has become a central concept in both society and the medical field. In the realm of bone and mineral metabolism, medical advances have led to greater complexity and variability in both clinical approaches and basic research strategies. Treatments have become increasingly personalized, with heightened attention and resources directed towards rare diseases.
Bone is composed of a wide variety of cell types, each with distinct origins and specialized functions, forming an intricate cellular network. The long history of bone research has revealed that bone is not only a structural support organ, but also a metabolically active tissue that undergoes continuous remodeling. Bone communicates with other organs through physical, hormonal, and neuronal pathways to maintain its own integrity as well as systemic homeostasis. The JSBMR has been at the forefront of these transformative developments in bone research.
Although Tokyo Disney Resort is famously located in Chiba despite bearing the name “Tokyo”, we embrace this unique identity by choosing Hotel Okura Tokyo Bay, an official Disney hotel, as our venue. In this setting infused with the spirits of the “Diverse World”, we hope to provide the participants with great opportunities to discuss bone and mineral research in depth in a relaxed atmosphere.
We sincerely look forward to welcoming many of you to this exciting and inspiring meeting.
