Greeting / The 65th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Japanese Society of Nuclear Medicine

The 65th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Japanese Society of Nuclear Medicine
Chair: Kazuko Ohno
(Kyoto University of Medical Science)
I am pleased to announce that the 65th annual conference of the Japanese Society of Nuclear Medicine will be held for three days, from November 13 to 15, 2025 at the Kyoto International Exhibition Hall "Miyakomesse". I warmly invite you to join us in person at the conference. As in previous conferences, this conference will be held jointly with the annual meeting of the Japanese Society of Nuclear Medicine Technology and accompanied by the exhibition hosted by the Japan Medical Imaging and Radiological Systems Industries Association (JIRA).
Having experienced the COVID-19 pandemic, we were reminded that casual conversations at conferences often serve as a treasure trove of research ideas. The venue is conveniently located in the “heart” of Kyoto, surrounded by the city's iconic temples and shrines that continue to captivate visitors from around the world.
The theme of the 65th annual conference is “Imaging and Observation of the Inner Body: Prospect of Nuclear Medicine and Humanity.” To bring this theme to life, we are striving to foster interdisciplinary collaboration across pharmaceutical, chemical, and engineering societies. Our goal is to create a forum where we can develop a new framework for medical practice, focusing on nuclear medicine, which is currently at the forefront of advancing diagnosis and treatment. We also plan to provide daily networking opportunities where young professionals interested in nuclear medicine can casually connect with experts in the field.
Thanks to the dedication of the program committee, we have prepared a wide array of engaging events. In particular, we encourage you to participate in the joint symposium and lectures with Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers *(IEEE), the joint symposium on PET-MRI with the Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine, and the workshop on the use of radiopharmaceuticals in interventional radiology (IVR).
We look forward to welcoming many of you to Kyoto during the beautiful autumn season and offering a fulfilling and inspiring academic meeting. (Further information about Kyoto is also available on Instagram.)
