Call for abstracts (English Oral/Poster Session)

Those who wish to submit an abstract for English oral/poster session must prepare the abstract following the instruction below and submit it by e-mail. Presentations at the Annual Meeting must be given only in English. Do not use the translator from your native language to English.

Please create your abstract as a Microsoft Word (doc. Or docx.) or text (txt.) file.
In each abstract, please include the following:

  • Author's name
  • Institution
  • Contact address
  • Abstract title and text

The abstract text should be around 250 words.
The abstract text should consist of "Background", "Method", "Result", "Discussion" and "Conclusion".
Please e-mail your abstract to Congress Secretariat <abs-jsdt2017@congre.co.jp> by January 31 (Tue.), 2017 February 7 (Tue.), 2017.
Please write in the subject line of your e-mail message "62JSDT Abstract Submission_English Oral / Poster."

Appendix:
We recommend signing up for the travel insurance before visiting Japan. For those who are not able to apply for the insurance yourself, please consult the secretariat. Especially, the authors who need VISA must sign up for this insurance because the VISA guarantor is the congress president.
The authors who require VISA are able to make a request to the secretariat for the VISA supporting documents.

Applications for Travel Grants

The 62nd Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society for Dialysis Therapy encourages the doctors from various countries to submit papers on clinical studies and basic research in the International Session (oral/poster presentations). Also, this year the Japanese Society for Dialysis Therapy has decided to give up to 20 travel grants to attend the Annual Meeting to the best rated abstracts in the international session.

The amount of the travel grants will differ according to the World Bank Criteria. The recipients who are from lower-middle income countries or low-income countries will receive a ¥100,000 travel grant, and the recipients who are from upper-middle-income countries or high-income countries will receive a ¥50,000 travel grant, and both recipients will receive a complimentary registration to attend the 62nd Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Dialysis Therapy in 2017.

Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  1. The applicants from upper-middle-income countries or high-income countries must be 40 years old or younger as of May 31, 2017. There is no age requirement for the applicants from lower-middle income countries or low-income countries.
  2. A travel grant will be awarded to the first author of a selected abstract, who is required to present the paper at the 62nd Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society for Dialysis Therapy. Even if more than one abstract for the same author were accepted, the travel grant will be provided for only one abstract per one author.
  3. Presentations at the Annual Meeting must be given in English by the grant recipient
  4. Abstracts must be 250 words or less. Please note that you cannot complete application for the grants if your abstract text exceeds 250 words.
  5. The recipient of the grant is asked to bring the following two items to receive the grant to the secretariat:
    1) A certificate which will be given after the presentation
    2) Passport
  6. The Congress Chair reserves the right of acceptance or rejection for all submitted papers.
  7. The recipients of the grant are responsible for signing up for the travel insurance, and the fee of the insurance is included in the grant. For those who are not able to apply for the insurance yourself, please consult the secretariat.
  8. The recipients who require VISA are able to make a request to the secretariat for the visa supporting documents.

Please note that the accommodation should be arranged and paid by the recipients.
