Welcome Message from Japan

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

On behalf of the Japanese ophthalmologists and the members of the organizing committee of this Joint Meeting, it is our great pleasure to welcome you to the 17th Joint Meeting of Three Nation Ophthalmologists, hosted by Professor Yuichi Hori in Tokyo. The venue is conveniently located near Haneda International Airport, ensuring excellent transportation access.

As you are aware, this meeting aims to foster mutual understanding, collaboration, and communication within the scientific and clinical realms of ophthalmology across our respective nations. It represents a special opportunity to share significant advancements unique to East Asian ophthalmologists. We believe that our collaboration will continue to grow in value and importance.

In preparation for this event, the Japanese team, led by Professor Hori, has dedicated considerable time and effort. The program has been predominantly shaped by the "Young Program Committees" from each of the three countries, who are poised to lead the next generation. Through preparatory meetings, we have witnessed a deepening bond among committee members, which we believe will greatly enhance the success of our joint meeting.

We hold the utmost respect for all participants of this joint meeting and for the committee members from each participating country who have contributed to its success. We also extend our sincere gratitude to the numerous companies whose support has been invaluable in making this event possible. We are confident that this meeting will be both successful and meaningful for all involved.

Sincerely yours,

Koh-Hei Sonoda, M.D., Ph.D.
