It is my great honor to welcome you to the 42nd Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition Therapy (JSPEN 2027). I am Naoharu Mori from Aichi Medical University, and I will serve as President of this meeting.
JSPEN 2027 will be held on February 12–13, 2027, at PACIFICO Yokohama North, in a hybrid format.

The official theme of JSPEN 2027 is “Fight against Anabolic Resistance.”
With the global adoption of the GLIM criteria, the diagnosis of malnutrition has become more standardized. Nevertheless, in daily clinical practice, many patients still fail to respond adequately to nutritional interventions. Anabolic resistance—driven by inflammation, physical inactivity, aging, and pharmacological factors—remains a central challenge in clinical nutrition. At JSPEN 2027, we aim to address this issue directly and to discuss effective, individualized nutritional strategies based on solid clinical and scientific evidence.

JSPEN is one of the largest clinical nutrition conferences in the world, attracting approximately 1,400 scientific abstracts and more than 10,000 participants from multidisciplinary backgrounds. This scale allows for broad academic exchange and provides a unique platform for sharing cutting-edge research, clinical experience, and innovative ideas in clinical nutrition and metabolism.

The venue, PACIFICO Yokohama North, offers an excellent environment with modern facilities and convenient access. In addition to a comprehensive scientific program, we are preparing interactive and engaging opportunities where participants can connect, exchange perspectives, and gain practical insights applicable to daily clinical care.

JSPEN 2027 will further strengthen international collaboration by welcoming leading experts from around the world. With the support of AI-based language assistance, we aim to reduce language barriers and promote open and productive global discussion.

I sincerely hope that JSPEN 2027 will be an inspiring meeting where participants learn from one another and take the next step forward together in advancing clinical nutrition.
I look forward to welcoming you to Yokohama in February 2027.
