We are pleased to announce that the 51st Annual Scientific Meeting of the Japanese Society for Surgery of the Foot will be held on October 29 (Thu) and 30 (Fri), 2026 at the Fukuoka International Congress Center. This will be the first time for Fukuoka University to host this prestigious meeting, and we consider it a great honor to have been entrusted with organizing this long-standing academic event.
The theme of this year’s meeting is “Tsumugu (Weaving Connections): The Future Vision of Foot and Ankle Surgery.”
Although metaphorical, this theme has been selected with the hope that—following the 50th anniversary meeting held last year—this conference will mark a new step toward the next 50 years. The word Tsumugu expresses the importance of building and strengthening diverse connections in foot and ankle surgery, including those across philosophy, technology, generations, professions, genders, and disciplines.
The Fukuoka International Congress Center, our venue, is conveniently located adjacent to the heart of Fukuoka City with excellent access to public transportation. We hope you will enjoy the rich culture and unique attractions of Fukuoka, while sharing fundamental to the most up-to-date knowledge and surgical techniques. It is our sincere wish that this meeting will serve as a platform for further progress and innovation in foot and ankle surgery.
