Notification of symposium proposal / abstract acceptance will be sent to the symposium organizer / first author by the end of June, 2018

General Information

  • Call for symposium proposals and abstract submissions will only be accepted via the congress website.
  • Before you submit your symposium proposal, please be sure that you have consents from your chair(s) and speaker(s).
    Once you have completed your online application for your proposal, a confirmation email will be sent out to your registered chair(s) and speaker(s). For more details, please carefully read through the guidelines for “Call for Symposium Proposals” below.
  • All accepted Abstracts will be published in the Journal of Alcoholism: Clinical and Experimental Research prior to the meeting and it is mandatory to agree to this at the time of submission.

General Information

Step 1: Create your account

  • Before submitting your abstract, please create your personal account.
    After creating it, you will automatically receive a confirmation by e-mail with your login ID and password.
  • We cannot inform you of your password and ID for security reasons.
    During the submission period, you may edit your abstract with this ID and the password. Please retain them safely for future reference.
  • If you do not receive any confirmation by e-mail or if you have any questions regarding the Abstract Submission, please contact the Program Secretariat: isbra2018-prog@congre.co.jp
  • After creating your account, you can proceed to submitting your symposium proposals or abstracts, or sign out now and return later.
    When you re-enter the submission page, please sign in the registration page with the given ID and password, choose the submission category at the online abstract submission page.

Step 2-A: Guidelines: Call for Symposium Proposals

  • Duration of the symposium: 90 minutes
  • Guidance for proposing a symposium
    *IMPORTANT*
    First of all, please get agreement at YOUR side from chair(s) and speakers for your symposium, whose information you are required to submit.
    • Fill in the information below
      • Disclosure of Conflict of Interest
      • Ethics for medical research involving human subjects or animal experiments
    • Fill in your information (Organizer), and that of your chair(s), and speakers.
      (Be sure to complete the speaker’s information as accurately as possible because each speaker you have chosen will receive an email with your symposium information and URL to access online abstracts submission.)
      You may enter a maximum of 10 speakers.
      (Please note that the duration of the symposium is 90 minutes.)
    • Fill in the information on the Symposium
      • Theme (within 30 words)
      • Abstract: Purpose and goal to be clarified (within 200 words)
      • Abstract: Specific points to be discussed (within 200 words)
      • Abstract: Others (if any, within 30 words)
    • Confirm your entry and click on the ‘Submit’ button on the bottom of the page and complete the form.
    • After completing the form, you will receive a confirmation by e-mail with the Entry number of the Symposium.
    • All speakers you have chosen will receive a confirmation by email too and they will have access to the online application form to submit abstracts.
    • Speakers are required to submit abstracts by the deadline of noon, on April 12 (Thu), 2018.
    • If your submitted symposium proposal is accepted, we will contact you, your chair(s), and your speakers with details about the date and time of the symposium in June, 2018.

Step 2-B: Guidelines: Abstract Submission for Symposium Speaker(s) who is chosen by the Organizer

    • Receiving an email from Program Secretariat (isbra2018-prog@congre.co.jp) with the symposium information and URL to access online abstracts submission AFTER your organizer registers the symposium proposal.
    • Access the URL and create your personal account.
      Note: You can also access online abstract submission from here
    • Click on “Abstract Submission”.
    • Fill in the information below.
      • Disclosure of Conflict of Interest
      • Ethics for medical research involving human subjects or animal experiments
      • Speaker (you) and co-author(s)
    • Fill in the information below.
      • Entry No., name of your symposium organizer
        Note: These are written in the email you receive in (1).
      • Presentation Title (within 30 words)
        Note: Tentative title of your presentation is written in the email you received.
      • Abstract (within 200 words)
    • Click on the "NEXT" button to confirm your entry.
      If it is ok as it is shown on the confirmation page, click on the "SUBMIT" button.
      If you need to make correction(s), click on the "BACK" button and revise information.
    • After submitting the form, you will receive a confirmation by e-mail.
