Robert J. Neviaser, M.D., Professor and Chairman of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery of the Geroge Washington University, is a Past-President of the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons and was Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery for 12 years (now Editor Emeritus). He has authored over 130 publications on the shoulder and Upper Extremity.

Prof. Herbert Resch is Professor and Chairman of the Department of Orthopedic Traumatology and Sports Injuries of the University Hospital of Salzburg. He started with specializing in Shoulder and Elbow surgery already in 1983 at Innsbruck University Hospital. Within Shoulder surgery fracture treatment was one of his preferred interests.
In 1997 he hosted the Congress of the European Society of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery (SECEC) in Salzburg.
He was elected as the President of the European Society of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery from 2003 to 2005. In 2003 he founded the Paracelsus Medical University of Salzburg. He is still Dean of this University.
