Kevin O’Byrne

Professor Kevin O’Byrne from the Department of Women and Children’s Health, King’s College London, has been involved in neuroendocrinology research for over 40 years with a focus on the GnRH pulse generator and stress. He obtained his PhD from the University of Bristol with Alastair Summerlee and following a non-clinical scientist position with Dennis Lincoln at the MRC Reproductive Biology Unit in Edinburgh, and faculty position with Ernst Knobil in Houston, Texas, he joined King’s College London in 1994. From 2012-2015, he served as President of the British Society for Neuroendocrinology.
