Topic: Physiology of Vasopressin and Oxytocin Neurons

Yoichi Ueta graduated from School of Medicine (MD) and Graduate School of Medicine (PhD), University of Occupational and Environmental Health, Japan in 1987 and 1991.

Yoichi studied with Prof Gareth Leng's lab, Babraham Institute and Prof Stafford Lightman's lab, University of Bristol, UK.

Yoichi is Professor, Department of Physiology, School of Medicine, University of Occupational and Environmental Health, Japan since 2000, and President, University of Occupational and Environmental Health, Japan since 2023.

Yoichi was INF Secretary General 2016-2020, and President of Japan Neuroendocrine Society 2020-2022.

Yoichi focus on the physiology of a hypothalamic-neurohypophysial system, in particular vasopressin and oxytocin neurons, using electrophysiology, molecular physiology and genetically modified animals.
