Arpád Dobolyi

Arpád Dobolyi

Arpád Dobolyi earned his Ph.D. from Semmelweis University in Budapest. He also completed a nine-month fellowship at the National Institute for Physiological Sciences in Okazaki, Japan. He then advanced to a postdoctoral fellowship at the National Institute of Mental Health in Bethesda, USA. In 2005, he returned to Hungary as a Marie Curie fellow of the European Commission, working in the laboratory of Professor Miklós Palkovits. In 2017, he assumed the role of full professor, and in 2018, he was appointed Head of the Department of Physiology and Neurobiology at Eotvos Lorand University. Since 2025, he has served as the President of the Hungarian Neuroscience Society. His current research focuses on the neural mechanisms that underpin innate social behaviors. His H index stands at 39.
