Ilia Karatsoreos

Dr. Ilia Karatsoreos is Professor and Chair of the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences at the University of Massachusetts - Amherst. His research explores how biological rhythms, stress, and immune function shape resilience to environmental challenges, with support from NIH, NSF, NASA, and the Keck Foundation. He earned his B.Sc. from the University of Toronto, completed his Ph.D. at Columbia University, followed by a Postdoctoral Fellowship at The Rockefeller University. He has held several leadership roles in the Society for Research on Biological Rhythms and the Canadian Society for Chronobiology.
