Jeffrey Zigman

Jeffrey Zigman is a Professor of Internal Medicine and Psychiatry at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. He earned his undergraduate degree from Cornell University and an MD/PhD through the Medical Scientist Training Program at the University of Chicago, where he also completed residency training in Internal Medicine. He later completed fellowship training in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. Dr. Zigman treats patients with thyroid disorders and leads a research program in the Center for Hypothalamic Research studying ghrelin, LEAP2, and gut–brain signaling mechanisms that regulate metabolism, eating, and body weight.
