Dr. Jeffrey Zigman received a dual MD/PhD degree from the University of Chicago and subsequently completed a Residency in Internal Medicine at the same institution. He next completed a Fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. Jeff started his own independent lab at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas in 2006, where he is now Professor of Internal Medicine and Psychiatry, with a primary appointment in the Center for Hypothalamic Research. His lab’s research focuses on ghrelin and LEAP2 physiology and their contributions to disorders of metabolism.
