Kate Ellacott is a Professor of Biomedical Neuroscience and Associate Pro-Vice Chancellor (Education) in the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences at the University of Exeter, UK. Her long-standing research interest is understanding how the brain controls food intake and body weight; currently focused on the contribution of non-neuronal cells in these processes. Kate’s research team is committed to promoting the 3Rs in animal research. She is passionate about education and is committed to mentoring students and early career researchers. Kate is currently the Deputy-president and general secretary of the British Society for Neuroendocrinology and a Senior Editor at the Journal of Neuroendocrinology.
