Stephanie Fulton received her PhD in Psychology at Concordia University in 2003. She is currently full professor at the Université de Montréal and principle investigator at the Centre de Recherche du CHUM. Her team investigates the impact of neurometabolic processes on motivation and mood states and has made key advancements in our understanding of the effects of energy metabolism on the neural circuits underlying anxiety and depression risk in obesity. She is a member of the Center for Studies in Behavioural Neurobiology and the Modern Diet and Physiology Research Center.
Dr. Fulton’s laboratory is supported by federal grants from Canadian Institute of Health Research, Brain Canada and Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada. She was the recipient of the Fonds de Recherche du Québec - Santé CMDO research network Young Investigator Award and a CRCHUM Award of Excellence. She co-founded and –organizes the Canadian Neurometabolic annual meeting since 2012.
