| 2. Procedures to obtain a short-term stay visa |

If you're not from a visa-exempt country or have a non-qualifying passport, you must apply for a single-entry short-term stay visa.

Invitation letter |

If you only need a simple invitation letter, it can be issued through the registration page. After completing your registration and payment, you can download the invitation letter from your My Page.
This service is free of charge. |

If you require a visa to enter Japan and need supporting documents to participate in ICPM2026, please select the visa support service during the online registration process and complete the required payment.
Participants from visa-exempt countries are not required to use this service. |

Document preparation generally takes approximately one week from receipt of a complete application. Please ensure sufficient time before your intended travel date. |

The Congress Secretariat and the Visa Support Desk do not guarantee that visa documents will be issued in time if the request is submitted close to your departure date. |

We ask your kind attention that the acceptable duration of stay for visa support is 7 days maximum (September 22-28, 2026), including arrival/departure date, due to ICPM2026 organizer’s policy. Basically, no overstays are acceptable, especially for tourism purposes. If the above is not acceptable, please apply for a tourist visa by yourself, and note that no support will be provided from ICPM2026 secretariat in this case. |

The Congress Secretariat and the Visa Support Desk will not contact Japanese embassies or consulates to request expedited processing. |

The organizer does not guarantee visa issuance. The final decision rests solely with the respective Japanese Embassy or Consulate. |

The visa support service fee is strictly non-refundable, regardless of the outcome of the visa application. |
