We are pleased to announce that the 62nd Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery will be held over three days, July 9–11, 2026, at the new TAKANAWA GATEWAY Convention Center in Tokyo.

Our society has long supported the healthy growth of children by advancing seamless cardiovascular care through interdisciplinary collaboration. Today, our field spans from the fetal stage to adulthood, and this year’s theme, “Academic for Social: For Everyone’s Smiles,” emphasizes our mission to connect scientific progress with the broader needs of society in healthcare, education, and welfare.

Strengthening international cooperation is another important pillar of this meeting. Through joint sessions with the AHA, AEPC and societies from across Asia, we will address the latest challenges and solutions from a global perspective. This time, we are also honored to co-host the 9th Takao International Symposium, a landmark of international collaboration. Through face-to-face discussions, lectures, and debates with leading experts from Japan and abroad, we aim to inspire all participants—particularly the next generation of pediatric cardiologists—and to contribute to advances in research, clinical care, and education on an international scale.

Public lectures will also expand, offering opportunities for dialogue among patients, families, healthcare professionals, and the general public. These sessions embody our vision of an “open academic conference,” where science is shared accessibly and society’s voices are heard, fostering empathy-based medicine.

Since its founding, our society has grown into a multidisciplinary community of pediatricians, surgeons, cardiologists, nurses, engineers, pharmacists, psychologists, and social workers. This meeting will continue to highlight team-based approaches and collaboration across fields.

Ultimately, our goal is to create a forum where academia and society resonate together. We hope this meeting will be a meaningful opportunity to shape the future of pediatric cardiology and to connect the smiles of children and families with everyone gathered at the TAKANAWA GATEWAY venue. We warmly invite you to join us in Tokyo.
