Asian Pacific Grants for Innovative Research Plans

OBJECTIVE

The Japanese Circulation Society solicits innovative research projects based on original ideas from Asian countries (other than Japan). The purpose is to promote innovative research in Asian countries, and through the presentation of research at academic conferences, to promote mutual progress and development in the cardiovascular field, and the development of young people who are expected to play an active role in the world in the future.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Applicants must be under 40 years of age as of March 31, 2025.
• Applicants must submit a research plan for either clinical research or basic research.
  We expect original and innovative research plans.
• We aim to recruit from Asian Pacific countries (other than Japan), based on recommendations from APSC affiliated societies that have exchanges with our Society.
• Applicants must not have won first place or second place of this award in the past.

APPLICATION

• CV (Format A, including publications)

• Research plan (two to three pages of A4)

  ① Theme of your research

  ② Purpose of your research

  ③ Research plan (including figures on one slide). You need to explain how your research is new.

  ④ Initial conditions of your research

  ⑤ Relationship with a specific enterprise concerning this project

  (Write one or two lines to confirm that you have not filed substantive cooperative research and/or patent application with a specific company.)

• Letter of support from the APSC Member Society to which you belong

NOTIFICATION OF PRELIMINARY SCREENING RESULTS

Early October 2024

Finalists: The finalists will make a presentation during the 89th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Japanese Circulation Society, and the award winners will be decided. Awards will be granted for two categories: First place (to one applicant) and Second place (to two applicants).

ANNOUNCEMENT OF AWARD WINNERS
(Awards Ceremony)

The Japanese Circulation Society will announce the award winners and confer the awards at the Awards Ceremony during the 89th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Japanese Circulation Society.
