To participants in the 89th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Japanese Circulation Society (JCS2025)

I am pleased to report that JCS2025 has successfully completed its three-day program with approximately 19,500 participants in total, of which 13,400 attended onsite. I sincerely thank everyone who traveled all the way to Yokohama, sponsoring companies, and everyone else involved in JCS2025.

Some of the sessions held on-site will be made available via on-demand streaming from April 9 (Wed.) to May 9 (Fri.), 2025; I hope those who could not participate in person will watch the sessions. Credits that count towards renewing Board Certified Fellow of the Japan Circulation Society can be earned by watching the sessions for a certain fixed time. During the meeting, important sessions were held in 23 different rooms in parallel, causing some of the onsite participants to miss sessions of interest, so I hope they too will watch online the sessions they missed.

Dr. Nobuo Fukuwa in the Special Lecture, Dr. Kenneth Walsh in the Mikamo Lecture, and Dr. Tatsuhiko Kodama in the Mashimo Memorial Lecture shared especially valuable insights with us. Please do not miss these important lectures.

On the first day of the meeting, we held an evacuation drill simulating an earthquake, the first time such a drill has been conducted during an academic meeting. It was a tragic coincidence that Myanmar was hit by a major earthquake on the same day. I would like to express my deepest sympathy to those affected, and encourage JCS members to remember the evacuation procedure to follow should a disaster strike during a large event.

Finally, I hope many of you will watch the sessions via on-demand streaming so that JCS2025 will bring even more fruitful results for all of you.
