Eligibility

Available to young surgeons or surgical residents who meet the following criteria:

  • Age 40 or under at the time of abstract submission
  • Currently working or training outside of Japan

Award

  • JPY 70,000
  • Registration fee waived

Application

  • Applicants must first submit an abstract via the Call for Abstracts page.
  • Once your abstract has been successfully submitted, please email the Management Secretariat（38jshbps2026-abs@m.congre.co.jp）with the following:

1)A brief statement indicating your intention to apply for a Travel Grant

2)Your curriculum vitae (CV)

3)A copy of your passport showing your birth date (to verify your age)

4)Please use the following subject line:
Apply for JSHBPS2026 Travel Grant_<<Abstract Submission ID>>

Notes

  • Abstract and presentation materials must be submitted in English.
  • Applicants should handle their visa application.
