Introduction

This special session would be held in English. Approximately there are 240,000 foreign undergraduate/graduate students in Japan. This is relatively few in comparison to other countries presumably because of some high hurdle for the Japanese language. This premier session in the JSP annual meeting was planned for foreign graduate students and researchers studying/working in Japan in the field of experimental/diagnostic pathologies and the other scientific areas. We would like to share the merits, memories as well as difficulties in research life in Japan and discuss these for the better and brilliant future. The Japanese researchers interested in these issues may submit the abstract on this topic.

Session contents

Please describe your research life in Japan using slides as in the general oral session of this meeting. You can talk on your daily life as well as your research contents. Please try to focus on the differences of the customs, living styles and ideas in Japan from your mother country. If you have any questions, difficulties or requests, please do not hesitate to describe those, too. Of course, you can talk on your favorite places in Japan.
