Application guidelines

Symposium proposers

Proposers and co-proposers must be members of the Japanese Society for Neurochemistry (co-proposers are optional). Proposers are expected to chair the symposium, but do not necessarily have to be a speaker.

Session time and format

120 minutes (all face-to-face sessions)
Time allocation within the session will be determined by the proposers.

Session title

Within 100 characters in English.

Language

The language of the presentation is determined by the proposers, but should be consistent throughout the session in the same language (either English or Japanese). Slides should be prepared in English, regardless of the language of presentation. For technical terms, please use Japanese as appropriate.

Aims of the symposium

Please describe the aim, contents and appeal points (e.g. features, interest, speakers) of your proposal in a manner that is easy to understand for non-specialist researchers in approximately 800 characters.

Speakers

  • The list of presenters should consist of 4-6 speakers.
  • At least half of the speakers must be members of the Japanese Society for Neurochemistry.
  • No more than 80% of the speakers should be of the same gender.
  • Please confirm in advance the availability of potential speakers before submitting your proposal.
  • In order to allow as many participants as possible to present at the annual meeting, each person is limited to one presentation as the first speaker. Please confirm this with the potential speakers.

Others

  • Only one symposium proposal per person is allowed.
  • The program committee may ask you some modifications of your proposal.
  • The meeting registration fee for non-member symposium-presenters from Japan and overseas will be waived, but we will not financially support other expenses.
