Transportation to Fukuoka  
By Air
Fukuoka Airport is located within the city area of Fukuoka.
Free shuttle bus service is available between the domestic and international terminals.
There are both ATM machines and the Money Exchange Office at the Airport buildings.
Make your flight reservation ahead of time to get good rates.
Subway station is located in the basement floor of domestic airport terminal. From Fukuokakuko (the airport station), it takes only 5 minutes to Hakata Station by Subway (Kuko-line). To Tenjin station which is the nearest station to the conference venue, it takes about 10 minutes from the airport.

Taxi fare from the airport to Hakata Station is about 1500 -1800 JPY (about 10-15 EUR) and travel duration is approx. 15-20 minutes depending on traffic.

City buses from the international and domestic terminal are operated to Hakata Station or Tenjin.
It takes about 15 or 35 minutes to Hakata Station or Tenjin, respectively. Fares are 260JPY for Hakata Station and 310JPY for Tenjin.

By Train
It is also possible to fly to Kansai (Osaka) and take a shinkansen (bullet train) to Hakata Station (traveling time approx. 2.5 hours).
From Hakata station to Tenjin, it takes only 6minutes by subway (fare: Adult 200JPY, Child 100 JPY).
By taxy, it takes 10-15 minutes (fare: about 1,000 JPY).
City buses from Hakata Station to Tenjin area are also available.
By Bus

There are many express buses are connected between other cities in Kyushu and Hakata or Tenjin bus terminal.
