The 90th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Japanese Circulation Society (JCS2026)

Welcome Greeting

Koichi Node, M.D., Ph.D.
Congress Chair of the 90th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Japanese Circulation Society Dean, Faculty of Medicine, Saga University
It is a great honor for us to host the 90th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Japanese Circulation Society (JCS2026), an important venue for the advancement of cardiovascular science in Japan where many researchers and clinicians come together to share the latest knowledge and explore the future of cardiology.

The theme of JCS2026 is “NEO-CARDIOLOGY TO EXPLORE SOCIETY.”

In recent years, cardiology has made remarkable progress. The use of artificial intelligence and big data in medical care, as well as genomic medicine, cutting-edge catheter technology, and regenerative medicine, is no longer a distant dream but a feasible reality, bringing huge benefits to society at large beyond the medical community. In this era, we are required to establish neo-cardiology and change society itself through innovations in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of cardiovascular diseases.

At JCS2026, we will share the latest research results and discuss how cardiology can contribute to society. We will explore the possibilities of cutting-edge medicine together with world-renowned experts invited from Japan and abroad, while focusing on the education of young researchers to nurture future leaders. In so doing, we aim to promote the use of state-of-the-art technologies and work in closer cooperation with industry and local communities to open up new horizons for cardiology.

We have invited Dr. James K. Liao (Professor of Medicine, University of Arizona, College of Medicine) for the Mikamo Lecture and Dr. Mamoru Mitsuishi (President, Science Council of Japan) for the Mashimo Memorial Lecture. We look forward to seeing you at this milestone 90th annual meeting to discuss the future of neo-cardiology together.
